Miss Mermaid Hungary

Miss Mermaid Hungary is a sub division of Miss Mermaid International, the only competition of its kind where contestants are selected based on beauty, figure, mermaid outfit and swimming skills. As of 2024, Hungary has only participated in the pageant once (in 2019), represented by Fanni Eszes.

William Balser, owner of  Euromodel Agency and C.E.O of Miss Mermaid International had the idea to launch the competition "Miss Mermaid" in summer of 2014 while on a Mermaid shoot in Majorca. 
The judging criteria for the beauty pageant are: face and body, charisma, decoration of the mermaid costume, as well as diving long distance and posing underwater.
