Miss Balaton began in 2014 and has been running every year since then. There are multiple stages to the Miss Balaton beauty pageant. First is the announcement of the 60 girls selected by a professional jury who will advance to the first personal casting on the website and Facebook.
This is followed by the announcement of the 24 finalists on the website and social media, who were chosen by the 4-member professional jury and the audience who act as the fifth jury member. Finally, the 12 finalists are announced on the website and Facebook.
The 12 finalists attend a photo camp in Balatonfüred, followed by a closed prepatory camp.
The final of the Miss Balaton beauty contest is held in August at Balatonfüred.
The grand prize for the winner of the Miss Balaton 2022 Beauty Pageant is a car and a one-year Red Lemon management contract worth 2 million forints. The prize for the second and third place is a one-week trip for 2 people.
Miss Balaton also releases the commemorative Miss Balaton Calendar each year, featuring each of the 12 finalists representing the 12 months.
