Miss Alps-Adriatic, known in Hungarian as “Miss Alpok Adria Szépségverseny & Megye Szépe”, is a long-standing beauty pageant that began in 1988. Every year county finals are held and the jury selects the girls who can best represent Hungary in a worthy manner with a chance at the international competition. The competition also offers talented participants the opportunity to join the world of modeling and fashion.

The now long-standing success story of Miss Alps-Adriatic began in 1988, when the first Alpine-Adriatic beauty queen was crowned. Since then, every year more and more girls take part in the noble competition, as this kind of competition enriches the participants with memorable experiences and self-confidence.

The Alps-Adriatic beauty pageant started in Italy, a cross-border economic, cultural and market "coalition" of nearly forty million inhabitants. Today, beautiful girls from nine countries (Austria, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary, and San Marino) compete for the honorary title.

The preliminary selections, the series of national finals and the central international gala take place in front of tens of thousands of spectators as a whole, and are of particular importance in terms of advertising value, that the events are closely monitored by the radio and TV stations of several countries, as well as the written press.

About The Competition

The basic goal of the competition is that every year the jury selects among the girls those who can represent the country in a worthy manner and with a chance at the international competition. The competition offers talented participants the opportunity to join the world of modeling and fashion.

The county organizers announce (via newspapers, radio, TV, Internet and other information channels) the places and times of the competition where the county finals will take place.

Together with the cooperating partners, the jury is invited, which evaluates (scores from 1 to 5) the competitors. In the event of a tie, the president of the jury decides. The first place in each county competition goes directly to the finals, while the 2nd and 3rd places go to the semi-finals.

Among the girls from the county finals, the jury selects the contestants who will appear in the Hungarian finals. The participants of the final are qualified by a "diverse" jury, whose members include prominent representatives of the fashion world, the artistic world, sponsors, athletes and journalists.

The top 3 winners of the Hungarian final will represent our country in the international final in Italy.

The top 3 from nine countries, i.e. 27 girls, will compete in the international final. The international jury works according to the rules set by the Italian license holder, in case of a tie, the president of the jury decides. A notarized record of the vote is drawn up and signed by the president of the jury.

The competition ends with the awarding of the "Miss Alpe Adria " title, the beauty queen and two or more of her ladies-in-waiting are chosen.
