Beauty Queen To Police Sergeant
by Harkányi Cintia
Meet a beauty queen, who took a serious change in her career. Cintia Harkányi, former beauty queen from Székesfehérvár, is now an active police sergeant.
Cintia completed Enikő Sütős’ modeling school at the age of 8. Since then, she has won plenty of pageants. Cintia placed first at Little Miss Hungary and Transdanubian Mall Teen Beauty in 2007. In 2015, she was crowned as the Beauty of Fehérvár.
In 2016, at the age of 17, Cintia won the first ever pageant of Hungarian World beauties.
What has happened since? Cintia finished high school, as she was in her third year when she won the crown. She finished a two-year non-commissioned officer training and started working at the Székesfehérvár Police station. She is a patrolwoman in the public order department, with the rank of sergeant.
Cintia’s colleagues know that they are working with a beauty queen, but luckily it was only strange in the beginning, and now they treat her like anyone else.
“We often get calls about family disputes, break-ins and smaller felonies. I haven’t taken part in a truly big case yet, but I think I would react accordingly. I am very confident and good at communicating.” Said Cintia in an interview with Blikk.
2023 marks the first year since her win, that Cintia is unable to attend Hungarian World Beauties’ final gala. Unfortunately she is working, and police duty always comes first.
“Getting the crown placed on my head is a beautiful memory. I really enjoyed both the training camp and the finale, which was organised in Debrecen. I wanted to win, I had dreams about it, but I would have never thought that I would become queen. I needed a few days to realise what had happened. My main prize was a red Seat Ibiza, which grew so close to my heart that I even use it today."
Cintia’s private life is also flourishing: last december she got engaged to her long time partner, and they are organising their wedding for the next year.
